Empowering Southeast Asia with proven outreach efforts.
ASIA W.O.R.D.'s present broad range of activities grew out of missionary Jason Powers and family's efforts in Cambodia which started in early 2003. Over the years the outreaches expanded and multiplied, as the team explored different ways to reach the hearts of Southeast Asia - soup kitchens, language and music classes, orphan rescues and more. The programs and staff grew in size while efforts consolidated as best practices evolved to meet local needs. ASIA W.O.R.D. is presently a Cambodian government-registered charity with strong footholds in education, orphan care, and rural outreach.
During the years in Southeast Asia, it became clear that other areas could also benefit greatly from our direct presence. Some of the countries surrounding Cambodia do not allow Christian outreach of any kind, yet are receptive to humanitarian relief, so that is our primary approach. We have made successful contacts in Laos, Thailand and Myanmar and are now eager to solidify these relationships through more formal collaboration. Our goal is to share the Gospel in every land of Southeast Asia.
